Katy Perry is an international music sensation with her catchy hits, infectious personality, and loud outfits. Katy rocketed to fame in 2008 with the hit single "I Kissed a Girl," going on to become one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Teenage Dream and Prism produced several number-one hits — “Firework,” “Roar” and “Dark Horse” are some of the many singles that made her a permanent sounding board in the music landscape.
Katy Perry is even more than just her music, especially considering how iconic some of her music videos are, as well as those high-energy performances and that colorful aesthetic.
She is known for her audacious, fun style, and this includes elaborate costumes and theatrical elements that turn her concerts into events to remember. Her unique persona and fearless approach to taking artistic risks (in both sound and image) attract fans.
Katy also has a lot of passion for philanthropy and activism. Her advocacy work has included, child health, disaster relief, and LGBTQ+ rights. As a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, she has also engaged in initiatives to better the lives of children and youth internationally. A throwback to when Katy Perry was just an aspiring pop star still chasing her dreams but remained ever the same person with an ethos of philanthropy, creativity, and passion for her work.
